Doing it together-The power of corporate prayer
One of the most powerful ways of getting result in prayer is through corporate prayer, God is able and willing to answer prayers but prayers must be said (James 4:2-3)! The admonition to pray is imperative as it draws us closer to God in intimacy. Prayer provides the avenue for washing our hearts with the pure word, sharpening our faith and having experience of God’s faithfulness to His people.
Both the Old and New Testaments bear witness to the need for God’s children to pray and demonstrate the benefits of passionate prayers focused on God’s Kingdom and will. We echo the statement of John as we pray together:
“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us and if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.” 1 John 4: 14-15
This is the platform on which we pray, we seek the will of God and pray His will as revealed in His word with the help of the Holy Spirit. This reinforces our desire to learn the word of God and to lean on Him as we grow by grace together.
- We encourage believers to make use of personal and corporate prayer closets, when God listen to prayers, the answer is both UNUSUAL AND UNDENIABLE.
- We enjoin you to be part of this army to seek spiritual growth that lead to eternal life and unlock iron gates that hold you, your family and other prisoners in your generation.
- We call the Church back to God focused prayers not based on the satisfaction of carnal appetites, greed or fear of the devil and his work.
- Let us pray together and see God’s Kingdom come and His will done on the earth as it is being done in Heaven.
